ANDREGG GEOMATICS has assisted the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with a variety of levee projects, performing surveys of federally designed and constructed levees; providing information to develop hydraulic and economic models to evaluate the effectiveness of existing levee systems; and designing new levees that meet the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) criteria for certification.
As part of a comprehensive flood control plan by the USACE in the Sacramento region, ANDREGG collected critical levee information such as levee centerlines and profiles, floodwalls locations, crossings, gravity drains and related features. All survey work is tied to the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS) through use of National Geodetic Survey benchmarks.
Along the Sacramento River, ANDREGG provided surveying and mapping of multiple emergency levee repair sites. The information generated was used for the design of levee repairs.
