Andregg Geomatics worked on this Design Build project and provided Control and as-built surveys of existing vent tunnel and gates within the dam. Control and tunnel surveys were needed for construction of 1,200 feet of new tunneling within the existing dam to precisely merge with existing vent tunnel. Other surveying services performed by Andregg for this project included; topographic mapping of channel and access road route, three dimensional digital ground surface modeling, quality control surveys and reports, and volumetric surveys and calculations for channel and access road.
Andregg is currently under a 2 year contract with USACE to provide Construction Management and Quality Assurance for the new Spillway and Gate Control Structure at the Folsom Dam. Services provided under this contract include monthly volume quantity surveys and calculations, high definition scanning(HDS) surveys, quality control surveys, topographic mapping, and terrestrial target surveys as requested by Project Engineer.
